I hope that when the hunting season is over, he doesn’t spend his life in a cage at the back of the house like so many hunting dogs. Looks as if he’s wearing a luminous collar, which shows that his owner cares about him.
His owner is my next door neighbour – son of a local farmer now cohabiting with his girlfriend. He is the gentlest of souls – never happier than when out walking with is dog. Hunting is his life in winter when not on the farm and the dog is an indoor dog who is truly respected and loved. There are others that are less fortunate.
The collar did give a hint that this was one of the lucky French hunting dogs. So pleased to know that he has a happy life. 🙂
