A Frozen Bean

As I kiss au revoir to The Bean who is flying back to Boston with Two Brains whilst I fly to the UK to spend time with family and friends, it seemed only polite to re-post an early blog from her. Rest assured she is working hard on her transatlantic flying blog. After all when you are a jet-setting Bean it is your duty to share your wisdom with the masses ….

  3. Does doggie ever come to France with you?

    April 2, 2016
    • She lives with me in France and is about to do her third transatlantic flight back to Boston with my husband – I’m hopping to London for a couple of weeks and she has to fly freight into the UK which she feels is de trop!

      • I agree with her entirely!

  8. Good to see you back in the blogosphere. Hope you are having a wonderful time with family and friends 🙂

    • Thank you Andrew. They say women multitask so heaven knows what went wrong with me! Giving time to family (particularly my elderly mother and the 3 out of 4 daughters of mine in Europe) and working on rewrites of the book seems to leave the blogging plate wobbling precariously. Note to self – must try harder!

      • Wonderwoman couldn’t do any better. Hope all is well. Best wishes 🙂

      • The third time I took my driving test the examiner told me I reminded him of Wonder Woman. I passed. These days I imagine he would be arrested but back in the naïve seventies I was just thrilled on both counts 🙂

      • I had to take mine twice. The first time I turned left and couldn’t understand why the traffic wasn’t moving. I had pulled in to a line of parked cars. No surprise that I failed.

  10. I look forward to reading The Bean’s experiences! She is becoming a very well travelled dog. Perhaps she should start an advice consultancy for other travelling animals. I’m sure she would much prefer to be with you, though, than in a kennel or even with friends.

    April 13, 2016
    • Definitely – she’s considering her own blog, I think!

  13. I am late to send you a safe travels , Osyth. My work schedule has kept me hopping. Hope The Bean and you can survive without each other. Did your husband come with you? It will be so wonderful to see your daughters, lots of hugs to all, sweetie!

    • Work is the greatest and hardest of excuses – we all have to do it but mostly we could do without it! I was in France for a week and then England for two. My husband AND The Bean came to France and then flew back without me whilst I went on to the land of my birth to stay with my mum and three of my daughters (the fourth lives and works in Malaysia). I had a lovely lovely time which kept me away from blogging to my eternal shame and flew back here a week ago. A couple of dramas ensued (back at home my third daughter has dislocated her knee cap for example) and jet lag took a while to shake off but I am back and firing on all four and ready to take on this mess of a house to get it looking hunky doodle dory dandified for the next installment. The best bit of the last 4 weeks? My little dog greeting me at the airport – she was SO happy … I wished I’d had a camera to capture that grin. Small pleasures. Take care my friend and I’m looking forward to reading your lovely posts again 🙂

      • I am so happy for you to have seen your daughters and someday you will get to Malaysia or she will get to YOU! <3 I love the fact your Mum was there and 3 of the 4 kids. I bet France was pulling on your heartstrings but your husband and the Bean were waiting to give you true love and smiles, too. 🙂 🙂 I will hopefull sound saner next time we chat. I enjoyed this long and personal note. Happy Mother's Day this weekend, enjoy your place and make it a Home. <3

  14. Hi Bean,
I have a question for your human. If you don’t mind me asking, other than slowing down, what could I have done to bring Abdul’s life to the forefront of the post? I loved his feel for life and action behind his words. I would of loved to have had a conversation with him.
