  6. Hi,
    Are you receiving any of the emails?

    September 27, 2016
    • I’m sorry, I have been very absorbed in myself this past few days. A horrible head old and the black dog lowering on my shoulder. It happens and then I cocoon myself and shut out the world. I will reply to you later and then I’m off to a log cabin in Vermont for a few days as a consolation prize for missing my Birthday holiday in Hawaii on account of my leg. It will be beautiful and I will find peace and equilibrium and press reset on my head.

  7. Without wishing to be Mean to Bean, she is incredibly cute and I love her coat but she also reminds of my dog Dolly – similar shape and size and need to join me on my ‘healthy eating’ plan but if Bean is really anything like Dolly then ‘diet’ is a forbidden word in her vocabulary! haha – sorry Bean – your coat is lovely though! x

    October 7, 2016
    • The Bean would certainly ask you to ‘talk to the paw’ if you mentioned the word diet in her presence. She will tell you she has big bones on account of her Jack Russell Terrier mother, I will tell you that her chihuahua father was like a facing snake and the one should offset the other! I need to meet Dolly …. we love dogs chez moi! X

      October 7, 2016
      • Dolly likes to put in an appearance on my blog now and again.. You can see some pics of her on some photo’s and the camping video.. Great to meet you and Dobs (as she is known) says “Hi Bean and sorry my mum was ‘offensive’ suggesting the ‘D’ word!! It’s her age..” x

        October 7, 2016
      • And The Bean says hi back to Dobs! I shall certainly enjoy checking out her photos and video …. I’m resisting the temptation to go straight over now but I have to do some work 🙁 xx

  9. Bean,
    If weather permits, take your Mom for a walk.

    January 27, 2017
    • I will! Today is sunny and we both need the fresh clean air of the mountains. My mummy sends you love for your understanding of her strange spirit

      January 29, 2017
  10. Hi Bean – Tink here – Mom’s bestest guest-blogger. People sometimes say I need to go on a diet too – but it’s mostly because my long fluffy hair makes me look bigger and because my kind of dog has heavy bones for our small size.

    Mom only listens to my vet – who told her at my 3-year check-up that I could probably stand to lose a half a pound or so this year, but that I am healthy, that I will be fine as long as I don’t gain any weight — and that even us 4-legses deserve to enjoy our meals. She told Mom to keep up the healthy treats and cut back on those health food chunks she feeds me. Hooray!

    I think YOU look great – and it’s grand to meet another blog-buddy (especially one who also has to wear a sweater when it’s snowy). I’ll check you out again when Mom’s not hogging the computer.

    Woof! TINK

    • Hi Tink! I’m very pleased to meet you too. I am nearly 10 years old now and at my last check up, the vet here gave my Mummy the same advice. So I am getting a little less in my bowl and the same goodie train during the day. I haven’t been hiking so much this year which probably accounts for my gain but I am happy to listen to this man because he was kind to me and even when he stuck a needle in me I didn’t feel a thing. I also have a padded coat with a furry collar but I am quite resistant to that because I think I look like a four-leg rapper and although I admire the genre this is not the look I am aiming for. I should probably write some more but my Mummy hogs the computer too!!! 🐾🐾

      November 8, 2017
      • I have one of those padded coats too, but mine is camo with a couple of Army-looking badges on it, so I look fierce. I’d rather go out naked, but my legs are so short that I just can’t deal with snow all over my belly.

        The one I REALLY hate is my raincoat. I look like one of those phoo-foo dogs – totally ruins my street cred.
        Woof! TINK

        November 8, 2017
      • I have developed a special way of getting about in deep snow but it does rely on humans to walk in front of me – I then leap into their footprints (his are better than hers because they are bigger) and they think I am clever which provokes treats. I like the sound of your fierce jacket. I have a camo harness and collar for days when I don’t want to be mistaken for a girlie girl (read – every day). We need to plot to ruin the raincoat so your cred is reinstated. 🐾🐾

        November 8, 2017
      • If you come up with a plot, be sure to let me know. She keeps it on a high hook, so I can’t get at it – and our walks during bad rains are short and focused, so I can’t count on her stopping to chat so I could figure out how to chew holes in it. I might try your shoe leaping this winter – more treats sounds pretty darned good to me.

      • Tink – we are now friends. You could also make friends with Roxie Damnit who belongs to Clare Sweeney and although she is a cat she is a feline that I have allowed to be an honorary dog. We have come up with some pretty cunning plans together and I think that you would fit into our small but perfectly formed crew very well. You clearly have a sharp mind and the important things in life at centre stage. I do love my Mummy but to be frank she does treat me quite unjustly on occasion – why can’t I just have cheese and meats when I feel like it? Just why? Must go … i hear her heavy footsteps on the parquet 🐾🐾 …

      • This will be quick while Mom gets into her jammies. It’s almost dawn here, so she’s finally decided to pack it in for the night. ::yawn::
        ~~~~~~~~~~~
        Thanks for the intro. I think Mom knows Clare but she never told me about Roxie Damnit. I don’t discriminate – cats, dogs, pigs, hamsters – even two-legged feathered animals are friends of mine – as long as they blog at least sometimes. You’d be surprised how many of us there are. Some even have their own BOOKS!
        I wish I’d met you before I had my big 4-legs blog party – but I’ll be SURE to invite you to the next one (and I’ll link to one of your articles when I can talk Mom into letting me write my next guest post).
        You should meet Bacon – he’s a pig who does a weekly Spotlight where he interviews friends like us – he featured me once, and I’ll bet he’d love to meet you too.
        Oops, slipper fuffing is getting louder. Gotta’ run. I’m supposed to already be in bed.
      • Tink – I hear you! I will be honoured to get an invitation to your next 4-legs blog party. I will join in for sure. Bacon sounds tasty …. oops – just read that right. Sorry Bacon sounds really great – I would like to be interviewed. Sleep well xx
